  • The Tenants Management Organization is an independent company entity regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and is sub-contracted to Southwark Council. The purpose of the TMO is to deliver services directly to the estate, paid for and managed by dedicated estate staff. The TMO is led by a Board of volunteers who are residents. Together they set a five-year plan and budget and report back to the TMO membership at least annually at an AGM on performance. [Link to the Making our Vision Real blog].   • The TMO is subcontracted to Southwark Council and has been established as an independent entity regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. The TMO is led by a Board made up of volunteers who are residents of the Webber & Quentin estate. The Board sets the five-year plan for the estate and directs the activities of the TMO staff who are employed to run the day-to-day management of the buildings and grounds, including overseeing cleaning, maintenance, repairs and rent collection.

    Subcommittees have been set up to look at HR, Finance, Gardens & grounds and Events & engagement. These are staffed with Board members and volunteer residents to support the TMO Management Team with the day to day running of the Estate.

  • St Georges Ward is supported by two dedicated counsellors, Maria Linforth-Hall and Graham Neale. Maria and Graham are strong supporters of our estate and are invited to attend the regular Board meetings and the Annual General Meeting. They also adjudicate over grants distributed by the Southwark Council to improve all the communities across St George’s Ward.

  • The budget supporting TMO activities is drawn from an annual allocation from Southwark Council, income from estate services such as Bike Locker rental, savings and surplus from disciplined management of our accounts over time and securing grants from public and community funds. The TMO is required to submit annual audited accounts and present a report on how funds have been spent at the Annual General Meeting which is open to all TMO Members.

  • The TMO employs dedicated staff who are based at the Portacabin and are responsible for the day-to-day running of the estate. This team is also responsible for rent collection providing a buffer of confidentiality between the Council tenants, the Board and Subcommittees. The team acts as the first port of call for maintenance of the estate buildings and grounds and oversees all the contractors employed to conduct this work.

  • As a leaseholder of Southwark Council, you will need to report repairs directly to the Southwark Council repairs service, using this email: repairs@southwark.gov.uk

    For emergency & urgent repairs that need immediate attention, please call the Contact Centre on 0800 952 4444 or 020 7525 2600. Emergency repairs can be reported via phone 24 hours a day.

    It is helpful for our TMO Manager to be aware of issues and concerns from leaseholder properties as these may also impact tenants. However, all liaison on the management of repairs for Leaseholder properties need to be managed directly with Southwark Council.
